REzultatīvo rādītāju (angl. Performance Indicators) lietošanu paredz daudzos pašvaldības vadības elementos. Šādu rādītāju lietošanu paredz virkne ārējo normat'9ivo aktu, tie nepieciešami ES fondu apguvē un citur. Šeit ievietots Eiropas Padomes ietvaros izstrādāts pētījums (1997), kas raksturo Jaunās Publiskās Pārvaldes ziedu laikus, ideju par uzņēmējdartbības vadības metožu pielietojuma iespējām efektīvākas publiskās pārvaldes īstenošanai.
Pētījums "The use of performance indicators in local public services" tika īstenots sērijā "Local and regional authorities in Europe, No. 63".
